It sold for an impressive $5.5 million

The iconic "Home Alone" house in Winnetka, Illinois, sold for $5.5 million, nearly $300,000 over its asking price. The 9,126-square-foot Georgian-style home, featured in the 1991 film, boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and luxury amenities. The buyers, represented by Lori Nieman, are excited to own a piece of cinematic history and create new memories in the iconic house. The previous owners were able to celebrate one last holiday season in the home before selling it, marking the end of an era for them. In 2021, fans had the opportunity to stay in the house for one night through Airbnb.
