Over 500 American department stores will be open at midnight before the release of Taylor Swift's new album, "The Life of a Showgirl." Target has announced special midnight openings on October 3 to accommodate Swifties eager to get their hands on the album. This practice of keeping stores open late for album releases was common in the past and is being revived due to Swift's massive fan base. The album will be available in physical standard editions and exclusive vinyl variants, recorded in Sweden with producers Max Martin and Shellback. Swift's previous album, "The Tortured Poets Department," set streaming records, and anticipation is high for her twelfth album.
