Dr. Salvador Plasencia will plead guilty to four counts of distribution of ketamine, with a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.
Plasencia was introduced to Matthew Perry by his assistant in September 2023 and allegedly taught the assistant how to inject Perry with ketamine.
Dr. Mark Chavez, who ran a ketamine clinic, allegedly submitted a bogus prescription to secure ketamine, and Plasencia obtained ketamine from him.
Kenneth Iwamasa, Perry's assistant, learned how to inject ketamine from Plasencia and left vials of the drug for Perry to use at home.
Jasveen Sangha, a major ketamine dealer, allegedly provided the dose that killed Perry and is facing multiple charges, including maintaining a drug-involved premises and distribution of ketamine.
